Job Description Job Description Overview : LHH is seeking a highly skilled Trust, Estate, and Probate Paralegal to join our client's dynamic legal team. In this position, you will assist attorneys throughout all stages of the estate planning and probate process, starting from initial client meetings to document drafting, estate management, and probate proceedings.
The candidate we are looking for should have excellent organizational skills, a thorough understanding of estate planning procedures, and a dedication to providing outstanding legal support Key Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with preparing and drafting trust and estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. Oversee and manage estate and trust administration tasks, such as gathering and valuing assets, preparing inventories, and handling distributions.
Conduct legal research and support probate matters, including filing petitions, preparing court documents, and liaising with court personnel. Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Effectively communicate with clients, providing updates and answering questions related to their estate planning and probate matters.
Coordinate with financial institutions, beneficiaries, and other parties involved in the estate and trust administration process. Assist with preparing tax returns related to estate and trust administration. Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Prepare and file court documents for probate proceedings, such as inventories, accountings, and final reports. Attend court hearings and assist attorneys with case management and trial preparation. Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong background in trust, estate planning, and administration.
Proficiency in conducting legal research and preparing legal documents. Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Capable of working independently and as a collaborative team member. Familiarity with probate procedures and a willingness to learn and develop skills in this area. Proficiency in using legal software and case management tools.
High level of integrity and professionalism. Bachelor???s degree or equivalent; paralegal certification is preferred. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Details: Employment Type: Direct Hire Compensation: up to $100,000 annually Benefits provided by the firm. Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year Search managed by:
