Job Description:

As a Project Manager, System Planning, you will aanage, plan, analyze and implement information system as they relate to Patient Financial Services/Accounts. You will manage and assure that Patient Management/ Clinical initiatives are being met. You will serves as a liaison between the department and vendors and conducts in-services, as necessary.

Responsibilities Include:
1.Manages and coordinates the implementation of information system initiatives to meet the needs of the Patient Financial Services/Accounts department.

  • Communicates with user departments and project teams regarding implementation activities and system changes to ensure feasibility.

  • Develops system specifications that appropriately meet the department requirements.

  • Assesses the Patient Management inpatient and outpatient registration pathways for constant improvement and enhancement; incorporates financial regulatory requirements.

  • Administers system support for all Patient Management system users.

  • Evaluates information technology to promote operational efficiency and financial reimbursement.
    2.Coordinates and maintains communication between the hospital and vendor(s) regarding system applications.

  • Coordinates all communication with the vendor representative regarding enhancements, problems, etc. for the system applications.

  • Reviews all contractual obligations and works to ensure status of deliverables. Resolves all problems relating to system with vendor.
    3.Performs periodic post-installation reviews of all system initiatives.

  • Reviews and evaluates post-installation processing with the documented specification.

  • Creates the appropriate ad-hoc reports to ensure system builds are working according to the specifications and to ensure accurate payments from insurers.
    4.Develops and conducts in-services for Patient Financial Services/Accounts.

  • Creates the appropriate in-service training documents.

  • Conducts system-wide in-services with managers and/or staff, when appropriate.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Knowledge of Computer Science, Financial Services or related area as normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree, required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience of information systems in a hospital setting, required.

  • Strong project management skills; knowledge of front-end registration and reimbursement; computer literacy, required.

  • Knowledge of Invision/SMS system, preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
