Truck/Rail Rd Tech I

ZACHRY is currently seeking an experienced Truck/Rail Rd Tech 1 for EXXONMOBILE Beaumont at the BPEP UNIT in Beaumont, TX. NO PER DIEM IS OFFERED.

Job Summary

• Inspect, maintain, and repair railway tracks, signals, switches, and other infrastructure!
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy off-track equipment and roadway machinery.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities

• Inspecting equipment: Workers must regularly inspect equipment for defects or malfunctions and report any issues.

• Ensure that tracks and signals are in proper working condition to ensure safe train operation.

• Troubleshoot and perform heavy repairs to all types of equipment components including gas and diesel engines, transmissions and differentials, hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, various work heads, booms, electrical systems, and conveyor belt systems.

• Solve work related problems, make decisions, and provide instructions.

• Understand mechanical operations of machinery.

• Drive heavy duty service truck, including truck mounted crane.

• May be required to pull trailers.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School/GED

• 21 years of age or older

• Valid Driver's License

• Read and understand schematic drawings.

• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical and electronic systems, and pneumatic systems as it pertains to the operation and maintenance of roadway machinery.

• Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work.

• Complete annual training and pass safety rules examination.

• Must pass all required assessments.

• Must pass a post-offer medical examination, including a drug screen.

• Must pass a background screening.
