Truck Construction/Repair: Install chassis mounted tank and pumping equipment for use in the liquid waste Industry. Most common uses for the trucks are portable toilet services, septic service, waste oil collection, and grease collection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation of chassis mounted tank onto existing truck beds

  • Utilize various equipment to attach vacuum tank and other parts to the truck chassis.

  • Connect water delivery using varied electric motor driven system, typically a 12V electric motor.

  • Install all legal lighting and bumpers to truck.

  • Install PTO - Power Take Off

  • Perform repairs on existing trucks for current and future customers.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No formal supervisory role.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • General knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems and wiring installation

  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and blue prints

  • Ability to use measuring devices like a tape measure, levels and micrometer,

  • Ability to use power tools like, drills, saws, air tools, etc.

  • Light welding, cutting & metal fabrication.

  • General mechanical knowledge

  • Ability to safely operate lifting equipment like hoists and lift trucks

  • Ability to read installation manuals for a variety of truck equipment and install them as per instructions.

  • PTO installation skills are a plus.

  • Hydraulic experience is a plus.

  • A Good work ethic and an eagerness to learn are a must.

Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Wears personnel protective equipment as required

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

  • Good fine motor skills, coordination, range of motion and grip strength

  • Ability to work in all climate conditions.

  • Ability to be exposed to loud noise levels.

  • Ability to operate hand and power tools

  • Ability to work in an environment containing dirt, grease, and dust.

  • Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and heavy equipment.

  • Ability to hold air impact tools up to 30lb.

Provides trouble shooting support on production equipment and recommends short- and long-term solutions to improve operational efficiencies through root cause investigation efforts related to machine down time.</p><p>Schedule: 3/4 Rotating 4:45 pm- 5:15 am</p><p>$3000 Sign on Bonus</p><p>WHAT YOU'LL DO</p><ul><li><p>Leads routine, periodic and special inspections to determine repairs needed or corrective actions taken to prevent breakdowns, unsafe conditions or to comply with Company and/or Agency Rules and Regulations.</p></li><li><p>Performs Production Equipment change-over as dictated by schedule or requested by shift supervisor (as needed or directed to best meet departmental objectives).</p></li><li><p>Interprets blueprints, equipment manuals, layouts and wiring diagrams.</p></li><li><p>Leads the effort of preparing documentation regarding Preventive Maintenance and Machine Operation through effective communication and collaboration with Production Supervisors, Manager and Engineering.</p></li><li><p>Sets up and operates all equipment needed to perform assigned tasks.</p></li><li><p>Escorts and assists as necessary, outside repair persons in the performance of their contractual obligations.
