The Parts and Service Clerk is responsible for supporting Parts or Service Department sales and operational functions by working with internal employees and customers in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as "One Professional Team." Depending on the location, the Parts and Service clerk will perform some or all of the functions listed below.

Pay Rate:$22.80-$34.22

Pay is based upon education and experience.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Prepares and enters CAT, outside vendor & online parts orders for Production and truck shop.

  • Picks up all outside vender parts for truck shop and Power Systems.

  • Approves and pays invoices as required.

  • Expedites back orders from Caterpillar as required when ordering parts.

  • Prepares miscellaneous reports as required by manager.

  • Assists in the distribution of computer-generated reports and all daily mail.

  • Prepares reports for manager.

  • Provides general clerical and staff support for Service Manager as required.

  • Input & tracks data to work orders.

  • Maintains work order fields ensuring all parts and misc. items appear on work orders.

  • Maintains records, logs, and files.

  • Enters and reconciles P-card and cash expenses.

  • Maintains a current vender list for parts.

  • Other administrative tasks as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience with parts preferred
  • 1-3 years administrative/clerical experience
  • 1-3 years customer service experience

Physical Demands & Competencies:

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing

  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills

  • Safety & Product Knowledge

  • Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Work Environment:

  • Noise: Quiet

  • Indoors
