Wolf Tree, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as a Trimmer/Climber.

DUTIES

Provides line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundman and Crew Foreman

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Driver's license required. Commercial driver's license preferred and may be required, depending on job requirements Completion of Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire Certificates and Licenses if necessary Pesticide license, if required by state law Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Full time hourly position. Compensation based on qualifications and experience.

VIEW JOBS 5/14/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-08-12T00:00 A Benefit Programs Specialist I represents the entry level in the occupational group for employees working under close supervision while being trained in determining eligibility for a variety of social services government assistance programs. The incumbent's responsibilities are related to the determination and re-determination of eligibility for individuals and families for food stamps, medical assistance, and/or other social services' benefit programs. The work is performed within established policies, procedures, and guidelines, but certain aspects of eligibility determination require independent judgment, especially as related to evaluation of social factors influencing eligibility. The employee interviews persons for assistance, obtains necessary information, evaluates information for consistency and completeness; re-determines continuing eligibility; and explains benefits programs and determines reasons and need for assistance. The Benefit Programs Specialist I reports to the Benefit Programs Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Some knowledge of basic human behavior; knowledge of mathematics to calculate percentages, formulas and averages to solve mathematical problems; and interviewing techniques such as data collection and investigation. Skill in operating a personal computer and the associated office and agency software. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; provide accurate technical assistance and guidance to internal and external customers on policy and procedures; interview, gather information, and evaluate situations; analyze information; apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; exercise sound judgment, discretion, tact and resourcefulness in solving problems and drawing logical conclusions; use various types of automated technology to establish and maintain case records, access and retrieve data, create reports and manipulate data; maintain professional ethics related to confidentiality; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others in a positive and tactful manner under sometimes stressful situations and analyze, interpret and apply complex federal stated law and regulations, work collaboratively and cooperatively with internal staff as well as external partners on projects, and analyze, interpret and apply complex federal stated law and regulations. High school diploma or equivalent supplemented with additional training and related work experience OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Preferred Qualifications Prefer experience in the use of computer software including MS office and excel spreadsheets. Prefer experience with agency related software. Prior experience interviewing, assessing needs, counseling and referring clients to other SS resources as needed. Considerable knowledge & ability to apply policy guidance.
