Trim and Testing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the process for trimming and testing, ensuring product is successfully trimmed and tested while maintaining quality and efficiency measures.

What You'll Do:

  • Identify department needs and match them with skillsets of department personnel

  • Schedule personnel as needed

  • Maneuver personnel within department to accomplish department tasks based on priorities

  • Hire new employees as business grows

  • Set expectations and hold people accountable

  • Train and help develop department personnel to acceptable levels

  • Provide honest regular feedback to all department personnel

  • Set proper example for department members to follow

  • Develop a departmental culture consistent with the company culture

  • Direct team to trim dry product

  • Track the level of desired quality and quantity of product

  • Maintain level of desired quantity of trimmed material

  • Schedule and coordinate with testing laboratories

  • Track and record what strain and volume of product for each test

  • Manage pheno hunting for selected strains

  • Learn and maintain continual awareness and understanding of complete set of specific rules determined by the law and by the commission

  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with METRC as needed

  • Accept and timely respond to all communications from the commission regarding compliance

  • Be present, knowledgeable and in problem solving mode during all inspections

  • Keep all supplies including trim supplies organized

  • Continuously monitor inventory levels of all department supplies

  • Maintain workspace in an organized and clean fashion

  • Lead direct reports to clean trim room, dry rooms, grow rooms (during harvest) and all tools and supplies as directed

  • Dispose of waste as directed by supervisor including tracking of waste

  • Remain compliant with bio-security measures in the building

  • Perform administrative duties when need be including data entry, data transmitting, phone answering, email answering and analysis and document production

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience within Horticulture

  • Minimum 2-3 years of previous management experience required

  • Trimming experience is required. Minimum 2 years preferred

  • Technical aptitude to learn new systems and become the SME of MJ Freeway

  • Expert project management skills to smoothly accomplish company and team goals

  • Strengths in problem-solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions

  • Technical aptitude to manage and teach various inventory systems and tools

  • Strong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills across different levels within a global organization

  • Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment

  • Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution

  • Capable to work in a team environment and coordinate multiple tasks with conflicting priorities

  • Ability to acquire a state credential by passing required background check and any other requirement listed

  • Must be over 21 years of age

Job Summary Repair vehicles thoroughly, safely, and profitably in a manner consistent with Caliber S.O.P., insurance partner and industry guidelines/standards. Effectively work with Body Technicians to assist with the repair process. Essential Job Duties * Complete dis-assembly of vehicle in order to assist Service Advisor with preparing a 100% Repair Plan * Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time * Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed * Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window and seat operating equipment and trim to gain access to damaged area of vehicle if needed. Store parts on carts or cover to eliminate potential damage * Mend damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts; insure all gaps and fits are to industry standards * Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.) * Fill depressions with body filler * Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills; and bolts or welds replacement parts in position and reassemble after parts are painted; insure all gaps and fills are to industry standards * File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces with 120-grit paper before turning vehicle over to the Paint Dept. * Aim headlamps and repair or replace defective parts * Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards * Assist Service Advisors in assessing damage to vehicles prior to repair * Comply with all Caliber safety rules, guidelines and standards * Perform other related duties as assigned including, but not limited to washing cars, cleaning the shop, assisting other teammates, etc. Skill/Requirements * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber's insurance policy (Not an excluded driver) * Ability to effectively communicate with others * Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates and work orders * Multi-tasking; adapts easily to fast-paced environment * Personable, friendly demeanor with "World Class" customer service approach to internal and external customers * Maintain a well-groomed appearance Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Position is based in a normal shop environment. Frequent physical activity such as kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, lifting above shoulders, standing for long periods of time during the repair of a vehicle is a part of daily activity as well as repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion and lifting objects over 50 pounds. Must be able to push/pull parts carts and cars with assistance. Working environment consists of: Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with high levels of noise as well as regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts.
