Jane Pauley Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC), specializing in providing stable, consistent healthcare to all individuals in need, regardless of income or insurance status. We are an ever-growing, innovative organization with 20+ facilities in 5 counties spanning across the central Indiana area.
Under the direction of the Physician and Clinical Supervisor, the Triage Nurse is the first point of care in the Physician office. This position assists the Physician and Clinical Supervisor in accepting and triaging patient telephone inquiries. This individual works hand- in- hand with the Physician to achieve quality outcomes for the patient.
Triages patient phone calls, reviews patient test results, pharmacy calls and reviews patient medications.
Provides patient education appropriate to patient diagnosis and quality standards established by Jane Pauley Community Health Center.
Assists Clinical Supervisor as necessary in manual inventory of drugs.
Checks expiration dates and orders replenishments as needed.
Follows practice specific sample management and distribution procedure.
Actively participates as a member of the health care team to promote positive health outcomes for our patients.

provide backup clinical support as needed
communicate regularly with the providers to provide the triage care expected by each team to where they are assigned (Family Medicine vs OB/Peds)
assist the MA/LPN as needed to assure timely, adequate and quality patient care and patient flow.
They will provide documentation to providers using Nursing protocols for high risk, high acuity patients
assist in the management and tracking of forms and documents from patients.
provide high level triage for high acuity/high risk OB patients to prevent delay in return calls and /or treatment.
Indiana Registered Nurse license required.
Clinical Competency Testing (Written and Clinical) required.
Certification in Basic Life Support from accredited entity.
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
One to Three years of experience in a clinical setting or ambulatory medical practice required.
Ability to take vitals, administer injections, perform routine lab procedures and collection, knowledge of sterile techniques, and infectious waste handling.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of patients served.
