In this role you will be responsible for:Uses clinical expertise to determine required level of care

Assess patients over the telephone to determine the most appropriate course of action.Triages patients and implements appropriate course of action in accordance with the established protocol/guidelines or in consultation with Provider/Physician (Dr. Angela Nicholas) as needed.Prioritizes patient needs based on clinical assessment as well as patient perception of problem and patient expectations

Uses AIDET skills at all times to communicate in a calm and re-assuring manner.Ensure that all contacts with patients, the public, families, insurance companies, employers, attorneys, physicians, and coworkers are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner

Answer telephone in a prompt and polite manner.Display concern and provide assistance as appropriate to callers

Perform duties and conduct interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of Einstein Physicians MontgomeryAbility to work with peers in team situations, ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures, demonstrates a learning attitude toward solving problems, and takes initiative to help others required

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:Minimum five years of experience as RN1-3 years of telephone triage experience preferred a medical practice setting1-2 years ED or Urgent Care experience preferred

Knowledge of telephone-based clinical assessment techniques

Knowledge of medical practice telephone triage protocols

Knowledge of appropriate home health information for patients to follow until visit with physicians, if they do not need an immediate ER visit

Skill in using electronic health records. Cerner experience preferred

Familiarity with Triage Resources in order to quickly identify appropriate action

Expertise in making triage decisions and responding quickly and calmly in emergency situations such as calling 911 and arranging for ambulance.Ability to work closely with physicians and other clinicians as neededRN degree; BSN degree preferred

Physical Demands:Physical Requirements:
Sitting, walking, reaching, pulling, bending, stooping, twisting, standing, lifting (up to 10 lbs.).Visual Requirements:
20/20 vision (with/without corrective lenses).Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear normal conversations.Working Conditions: Office setting, well lighted, good air quality. Rare direct contact with patients.
