We are currently searching for a Triage Clinical Assistant at our OrthoCarolina Boone office location.

The Triage Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care through taking calls following approve telephone guidelines which involves finding, providing information and education, identifying resources, consultations, referral and follow-up activities. The role may also participate in patient education, communicating effectively with others, and assisting the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.

Additional responsibilities as a Clinical Assistant include:

  • Updating clinical notes in electronic medical systems

  • Completing phone triage

  • Casting and bracing

  • Performing routine office procedures

  • Providing patient education

Additional requirements as a Clinical Assistant include:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, nursing or a college degree in a related field

  • Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant, current nursing license, ATC Board certification

  • 2 -3 years of clinical assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities Program Overview This position is responsible for providing Multisystemic Therapy (MST) to youth ages 12 to 17 that display serious antisocial behaviors and are at-risk of placement out of the home due to their behaviors. Our MST program is built on the principle that the serious behavior problems of a child typically stem from a combination of influences including family factors, deviant peer group, problems in school or the community, and individual characteristics. The MST model calls for simultaneously addressing all of those inter-related areas. Position Overview * The clinical supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the counselors. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * Provide support and assistance as needed to team. * Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and other essential duties. Additional Information Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, a personal vehicle to use for work purposes and auto insurance.
