The Sonnenalp is looking for a part-time Barista for our new Treff Café. We will keep this open for 10 days.
Wage: $17.00, plus tips
Typical Schedule: Must be able to work weekends & holidays
Primary Purpose of Position
The Treff Café barista is responsible for exceptional guest service. This will include all aspects of great customer service, order input, preparation, delivery and payment processing. The Barista will need to be able to prioritize and manage time correctly. They will work the register, prepare menu items, and keep the café clean and well-stocked for service throughout the entire shift. They will be responsible for correct cash handling and daily check outs. The position requires working closely with a high volume of demanding clientele and other staff. The Barista must not only be congenial, but able to appropriately deal with customers and fellow workers. At all times, the barista is expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Set Treff Café for business: responsible for all assigned opening, closing and weekly side work duties
Prepare room for service. Make sure condiments are refilled, perform all other preparation task.
Have knowledge of all menu items and ingredients and answer guest questions about food and drinks
Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations
Inform guests off food and drink specials
Make suggestions and recommend options
Serve food and drink while creating a professional and caring relationship with customers
Assist guests with to go orders or serve to tables in and outside
Great all guests warmly with an appearance standards consistently
Fill in for absent staff as needed
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
Keep a safe and clean working environment for staff as well as guests
Have knowledge of the hotel and be able to cross-sell various departments and activities
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
Adhere to LHW standards at all times
Participate in related F&B training programs such as coffee training and liquor/wine training as needed
Act as a responsible, personable representative of the Sonnenalp team

Special Skills/Equipment
Excellent guest service skills
Personable disposition which is maintained in high pressure situations required
Strong organizational skills required
Common sense of urgency required
Should be prepared to work long hours and variable schedule, to include holidays and weekend
English fluency required
Essential Physical Requirements
Position primarily performed indoors assisting a variety of guests
Working conditions will vary with season; high traffic during peak season, medium traffic during off season
Ability to regularly carry up to 40 lbs
Should be prepared to work long hours and able to stand for an extended time
