HSB is seeking an Underwriter in our Treaty department. In this position you will profitably monitor, manage and expand HSB's portfolio underwritten products with assigned Client Companies (CC's). Along with building solid, long-term relationships with assigned CC's and work with other members of the Client Integration Team (CIT) to deliver high quality service to CC's.

Treaty Underwriting products include: Commercial and Personal Lines Equipment Breakdown (Commercial EB, HSP, FOEB), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL), Contractor's Errors & Emissions (CE&O), Service Line (SL), Data Compromise (DC) and Cyber Liability.

Qualifications Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Past underwriting experience in property, Homeowners, EB, EPL or Cyber and/or strong analytical, accounting/financial skills. Strong analytical and financial skills. Knowledge of property and EB industry and exposures. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to make quick, sound decisions while thinking proactively and "outside the box". Desired: Advanced degree. 3-5 years property, Homeowners, EB, EPL or Cyber Underwriting or other insurance/reinsurance experience. CPCU, CIC, ARM, AU or other Industry designation.
