Position Title: Treatment Guide Coordinator

Department: Intake

Reports to: Regional Director/Administrator

Supervises: Treatment Guides

Entry Level Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED. College classes preferred. Knowledge of chemical dependency desired. Knowledge of marketing andcustomer service and proficient data entry skills desired. Must be able to interact with the professional community and have reliable transportation. Must be available for 24 hour a day on call schedule. Must be able to overcome obstacles in the admission process and have a working knowledge of payor sources and criteria for inpatient, IOP admissions and outside referrals.

  • Must be able to bond in a professional manner with potential patients and families.

  • Must be able to see 20/40 corrected in each eye and hear clearly (hearing aide accepted).

  • Must have valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

  • Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations.

  • Must maintain regular attendance.

  • Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, patients, families and perspective patients and families.

  • Must be able to work in constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • If recovering, two (2) years of continuous verifiable sobriety.

General Responsibilities:

Must be proficient in supervising, educating and motivating Treatment Guides to follow Corporate Intake standards.Must be able to overcome objections in the admission process and assure appropriate documentation of the consult guideline, callbacks, and the Intake retrieval system software. Also responsible for overseeing appropriate referrals are made to entities or agencies outside of Bradford.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises staff respond within 30 minutes or drive time of the initial request for an onsite consultation.

  • Supervises staff present nearly dressed and in a professional manner to the referral source for onsite consultation.

  • Oversees staff demonstrate the ability to collect screening information from a potential patient and/or family.

  • Manages staff and assures they possess a working knowledge of chemical dependency signs and symptoms in adults and adolescents.

  • Manages staff possess a working knowledge of appropriate emergency, benevolent and/or self- help referral information.

JOB OBJECTIVE: Faculty Member/Coordinator - salary commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Associate of Applied Science-level Welding classes and laboratories, create instructional materials and laboratory experiences, promote the Welding program through local, regional and national engagement, participate in program assessment activities related to accreditation, certification and grant parameters. The successful candidate will perform student advising, and other departmental services. This position requires experience in all areas of welding and to perform all tasks related to the welding industry. Tasks include the following: shop-safety, OSHA and HAZMAT requirements, thermal cutting, soldering and brazing, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GTAW in all positions, pipe welding in all positions, blueprint reading, pattern and layout procedures, fabrication, using a variety of different types of metals, and utilization of related shop equipment. The successful candidate must possess teaching skills and be able to teach all mentioned disciplines, as well as performing the following tasks: curriculum development and evaluation, program development and evaluation, technical writing, recruitment, student advising, transcript and work experience evaluation, student registration, advisory committee engagement, evaluation and preparation of articulation agreements and prior learning assessments. Provide instruction and training in Welding Technology covering several welding processes. Instruction will cover, but is not limited to, the following welding processes: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW Plate and Pipe), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW Plate and Pipe), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW Plate and Pipe), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW Plate and Pipe), Oxy-fuel cutting, Plasma Arc cutting, blueprint reading, mathematics for welding, welding inspection and welding metallurgy. Assignments will include preparation for AWS certifications. 10% B. Develop new course materials or courses as required to maintain program currency in emerging technologies in the field of Welding and the development of course work associated with it. 10% C. Advise students. Serve on internal and external committees for the College and the community at large. Work with Business and Community Services department to develop workforce solutions within the area of welding. 10% D. Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and processes relative to welding classes. 10% E. JOB STANDARDS: · Associates degree in Welding, Metals Science (Metallurgy, Composite Science, etc.), or Welding Technology, Industrial Education, Industrial Arts, or Industrial Technology or related field from a regionally accredited college or university with minimum of five (5) years full-time work experience in various welding processes OR Bachelor ' s degree in Welding, Metals Science (Metallurgy, Composite Science, etc.), or Welding Technology, Industrial Education, Industrial Arts, or Industrial Technology or related field from a regionally accredited college or university and three (3) years full-time work experience in various welding processes. · Teaching experience at secondary or post-secondary level or experience as a trainer specifically in welding applications. · Be[TA1] a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Welding Educator (CWE), AWS certified or have a nationally recognized certification in Welding, or have the ability to get certified within 1 year[TA2] of employment. · Have experience in the following processes: GTAW and GMAW-steel, stainless steel and aluminum, SMAW and FCAW-steel. Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience. CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE/EXPERIENCE: Broad, current industry knowledge and practical applied experience in the field of Welding are required along with the ability to translate those knowledge and skill sets into a meaningful learning experience in a classroom or laboratory setting. A willingness to participate as a team member to realize the overall goals of the Welding Program and the grant with which the Welding program is being supported, as well as to prepare students for the workplace and lifelong learning opportunities. A strong desire to work with students and to help them achieve success is required. JOB LOCATION: Teaching may include classes at Blount County Campus, Strawberry Plains Campus and the Byington-Solway campus during daytime hours, evening hours or online format. Travel within our two-county service area may be required. Teaching assignment may include day, evening, on-line, hybrid, summer and/or off campus classes. EQUIPMENT: Welding equipment to include that required for executing Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW Plate and Pipe), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW Plate and Pipe), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW Plate and Pipe), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW Plate and Pipe).
