Overview

Responsible for providing new sales support to assigned Treasury Sales Officers and Treasury Sales Manager. Plays a key role in new business development and sales support of prospective and existing clients.

Work Environment:

There is minimum discomfort from noise in this area. Detailed instructions and procedures to be followed in a potentially hazardous condition (i.e. robbery) are provided to minimize the risk.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a working knowledge of treasury products and pricing, allowing for the coordination and support of new business development.

  • Assists with obtaining new client documentation and creating required onboarding documents.

  • Assists the Treasury Sales Officers with driving new business opportunities by identifying client needs and cross-selling treasury products and services.

  • Assists with pricing functions such as new pricing requests, exception pricing request.

  • Supports marketing strategies and calling programs to uncover new opportunities with existing Treasury Management clients.

  • Assists Treasury Sales Officers with the development and coordination of presentations for prospective Treasury Management clients and for the expansion of existing relationships.

  • Identifies cross-sale opportunities, referring them to the appropriate area.

  • Works with Treasury Management Sales Manager on project and divisional initiatives.

  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred,

  • Minimum of four years of banking experience,

  • Good understanding of financial institution products and service,

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel,

  • Good communication, analytical, organizational, and time management skills,

  • Must work with minimal supervision, show initiative and interface closely with executive management,

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, and

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from community bank presidents, corporate department heads, employees, clients and general public.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of general banking regulations and operating practices,

  • Knowledge of general banking regulations and operating practices,

  • Bachelor's Degree or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience,

  • Thorough knowledge of all bank policies and procedures and the management skills to implement them, and

  • Experience with treasury management products and services.

Position Title: Treasury Management Specialist Physical Location: 2910 West Jackson Street, Tupelo, MS 38801 Reports To: Treasury Management Operations Supervisor Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions Job Group Category: Hourly (Non-Exempt) Work Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Overtime as needed) Primary Purpose: Treasury Management Specialists are tasked with the setup and maintenance of all Treasury Management products, as well as providing support to all Treasury Management customers and the Treasury Management Sales team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Assist and support external and internal customers of all Treasury Management products and services. * Process and validate new set ups and edits for Treasury Management products and services. * Process and validate new set ups and edits for various modules of InView, to include: Balance Reporting; Account Transfer; Loan Transactions; ACH Origination; Wire Transfer Origination; Positive Pay; Stop Payment; BillPay; ExpressDeposit; AISAs; AIAs; ZBAs and SmartLines; Controlled Disbursement; BAI Reporting; and Account Recon. * Perform and validate daily/monthly maintenance and reporting related to TM products and services. * Assist and validate Account Analysis processing as needed. * Maintain an attitude of open communication and cooperation with supervisor and co-workers. * Develop a continuous program of self-education and improvement. * Maintain regulatory compliance at all times. * Adhere to all established Treasury Management and BancorpSouth policies and procedures. * Abide by applicable Federal Regulations specific to Treasury Management. * Assist the department with special projects. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. Job Specification: * Excellent organization skills. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all times, professionally representing the department in all verbal and written communications, is a must. * Detail-oriented and precise, with the ability and desire to learn quickly. * Necessary work ethic to take on a variety of tasks and carry them through to completion. * Work with minimal supervision. * Meet all established deadlines on all tasks, and be willing to accept these responsibilities. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, desired. * Knowledge of BancorpSouth systems, specifically treasury management products and services, desired. * Advanced computer skills and technical abilities (understanding of internet browsers, PC operating systems, ability to read and correct file formats related to NACHA files, BAI files, etc), desired.
