Job Description Summary:
PayPal has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Treasury Operations who will be responsible for a variety of activities supporting treasury operations, internal controls and process improvements in the areas of foreign exchange, investments, debt, cash management, and capital structure. The Manager, Treasury Operations serves as the team lead and will report to the Senior Manager, Risk Management.
Manage the daily operational activities for foreign exchange and investment transactions including confirmation and valuation.
Lead the effort to establish and extend repeatable, documented treasury operations processes that ensure controlled growth
Report treasury operations related metrics for distribution to key internal stakeholders and senior management
Coordinate internal and external audit and SOX processes on behalf of Treasury
Interface with external auditors on Treasury related 10Q/10K disclosures and underlying processes
Monitor compliance with debt covenants and provide required compliance certificates/reports to banks and rating agencies
Support compliance with Treasury Accounting standards including foreign exchange hedge accounting, investment, debt, etc. Design end-to-end processes for any new products or transaction types.
Drive operational excellence including the identification and implementation of process improvements for Treasury processes including hand-off's to/from different departments
Liaise with EMEA, APAC and LATAM teams and support international cash management initiatives
Strong attention to detail
5-8 years of experience in specific Treasury activities a plus
Proven experience effectively and efficiently managing the team workload
Knowledge of treasury accounting topics including foreign exchange, hedging, investment, valuation, impairment, debt, etc.
Strong understanding of internal controls and treasury processes.
Aptitude for systems, data flows, and reconciliations. Treasury workstation (particularly SunGard) knowledge a plus. Commanding knowledge of Excel beneficial.
Good verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas and plans clearly, accurately, and effectively with internal and external audiences
Good team building skills that cultivate collaborative and win/win relationships
Ability to independently and simultaneously manage various tasks and projects and work under tight deadlines
