Job Description Summary:

PayPal is a global company operating in the competitive and dynamic Payments Industry. The Treasury function plays a critical role in our Product operations and development lifecycle. The Product Enablement Go-to-Market (GTM) Team is responsible for aligning with the global Product organization to launch new product and design money movement requirements powering product launch and growth at scale. GTM is looking for a Treasury Manager to join our team.

Job Description:

The GTM Treasury Manager's responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with Product Teams to support execution of Product Roadmap, inclusive of all PayPal properties (e.g., Core, Braintree, Venmo, iZettle, Hyperwallet, etc.);

  • Determine and advise Product and other Teams on the money movement requirements to support new and existing products;

  • Partner with Global Cash Management team to operationalize product cash movement;

  • Partner with the Treasury Transformation team to communicate the key product initiatives that will require changes to the Treasury infrastructure and capabilities (e.g., Cyrpto trading, banking capabilities, etc);

  • Support PayPal product expansion and global reach into new markets; drive Operational Excellence in Treasury processes aligned with business efficiencies;

  • Support global PayPal expansion by closely collaborating with key business units globally, such as Product, Business Development, Global Core Payments and Global Finance Product teams/processor relationships

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in payments, banking, or related industry (approx 3-6 years)

  • Demonstrated product management experience and a passion for the payments space

  • Ability to work independently, yet collaborate cross-funcitonality to drive results

  • Excellent teamwork & communication skills

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelors Degree Required, MBA a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic

  • Strong technical/modeling, computer/database & systems skills

  • Knowledge of SAP, Quantum & online banking systems

Responsibilities: * Develop, update and monitor Treasury operational policies; manage Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for Treasury operations and support internal and external audit requirements * Implement best practices and improve automation of key processes within Treasury, work with key stakeholders in instituting process improvements * Manage global banking projects and global banking relationship * Oversee efficient global cash management; manage liquidity and funding requirements for all entities * Manage investment of excess cash and determine short-term and long-term investment options; manage external investment managers, monitor portfolio performance, risk and compliance * Formulate and execute hedging strategies to manage foreign exchange and interest rate risks * Assist with capital market decisions as well as transactions, including the efficient return of capital to shareholders, determining optimal capital structure, securing new funding/capital for strategic initiatives * Other responsibilities include assisting corporate insurance annual renewal, mergers & acquisitions due diligence, post mergers & acquisitions integration and other ad hoc projects Qualifications: * Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Economics or related discipline; MBA and/ or CTP is a plus * 10+ years corporate treasury experience * Acute attention to details; strong business judgement and autonomy * A 'hands-on' team player who is comfortable working on detailed transactions on an independent basis and coordinating input from others * Ability to multi-task, deal with ambiguity and work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment with commitment to deliver under tight deadlines * Excellent project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, gain consensus among various teams, and drive initiatives to completion effectively * Intellectual curiosity to seek knowledge and problem solve independently with minimal direct supervision * Highly effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills * For job positions in San Francisco, CA, and other locations where required, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
