Job Summary:

The Treasury Manager will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive financial plans. The position will perform budget forecasting, manage company bank accounts, and prepare financial reports. The treasury manager will direct the treasury department, ensure deadlines are met, accuracy is achieved, and oversee all treasury functions and personnel. While this position supports facilities in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas you will be working from the Corporate Home Office in Sykesville, MD.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company's daily cash positioning/cash flow.

  • Recommend strategies to optimize cash flow and maintain proper liquidity.

  • Oversee the administration of bank accounts and handle clients' loans and deposits.

  • Monitor and manage bank account balances, including funding and disbursement activities.

  • Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with banks and financial institutions.

  • Create, review, and maintain treasury procedures.

  • Provide analysis and insights into treasury activities for management review.

  • Analyze banking fees and adopt control measures to mitigate and reduce banking charges.

  • Participate in forecasting procedures and annual budget process as it relates to cash flow.

  • Implement cash reporting and process improvements based upon industry trends and business objectives.

  • Explore options to reduce fraudulent transactions.

  • Assist in securing financing as necessary.

  • Submit financial reporting required by governmental entities and lenders on a quarterly, bi-annual, and annual basis, and as-needed basis.

  • Perform valuations for potential acquisitions for the company.

  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage and maintain vehicle titles.

  • Work directly with the CFO on financial projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned/required.

Position Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant finance or treasury experience which includes 2 -3years of managerial experience.

  • Strong knowledge of cash management, banking operations, and financial risk management.

  • Experience with treasury systems and financial modeling.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must work with a high deal of accuracy, be concise, detail-oriented, and meet deadlines.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • HUD experience a plus.
