Position Overview

The Treasury Intern will support the Treasury team in a series of assignments selected from the Treasury, Risk Management and Trade Credit functions that comprise the department of a Fortune 500 company. In general, the role may include financial analysis, reporting, transaction execution, policy management, process documentation and planning activities.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be assigned responsibilities drawn from the functional areas described below:

  • International Cash Management Includes international cash management initiatives, changes to bank relationships, and day-to-day international treasury operations to maximize value and minimize risk.

  • International Cash Forecasting Supports the international business units in establishing daily cash forecasting capabilities enabling the businesses to operate more efficiently.

  • Corporate Finance Identifies opportunities to mobilize international cash as efficiently as possible for repatriation and intercompany funding requirements.

  • Relationship Management Manages relationships with major commercial banks, investment banks, rating agencies and other external advisors.

  • Trade Finance - Supports the global business needs by providing advice in all aspects of trade finance (letters of credit and guarantees). Supervises the letter of credit requisition process, ensuring consistency with approved practices.

  • Capital Markets Encompasses debt management and shareholder return programs such as dividends and share repurchases.

  • Hedging Programs Includes programs that mitigate risk from fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, interest rates and commodity prices.

  • Risk Management Covers corporate insurance programs related claims management activities.

  • Trade Credit Involves the process of setting and managing credit limits for customers purchasing equipment, parts and services from the company.

  • Process Improvement Focuses on continuous improvement of the processes underlying the various functions in the department.

Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior year standing (as of Fall 2018) at accredited 4 year university/college.

  • Pursuing a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of a cumulative GPA of 3.0 required to submit resume to Terex Career Database.

  • Desire to build a career in Finance.

  • Track record of demonstrable accomplishments in school and at work

Access to the syndication market is a fundamental component of the TFS strategy to support Terex Corporation goals for Return on Invested Capital ("ROIC") by freeing up balance sheet capacity for new loan and lease origination. The TFS Intern will support (i) the origination of U.S. retail loans and leases for the Aerial Work Platforms segment as it seeks to expand its offerings to Independent Rental Houses and (ii) the syndication process by preparing and sharing credit packages with our funding partners, and interfacing with the funding partners, the Manager, Pricing and Syndications and members of the Credit and Operations teams to ensure the efficient syndication of transactions. Responsibilities: * Develop product offering most suitable for the Genie Used Equipment Finance opportunity * Utilize EDA Prospect App to find NEW customers for TFS & AWP * Collaborate with existing TFS Sales Team to identify high potential Independent Rental House targets * Attend weekly Tier 1 AWP Regional Calls * Work closely with TFS Credit to build an efficient process that drives a high quality experience for the customer * Report progress monthly to TFS & AWP Sales Leadership Team * Collation and management of syndication credit packages * Interfacing with funding partners to ensure efficient syndication of loans and leases * Extensive use of Excel to track syndication progress * Reconciliation of sales prices for loan portfolios * Preparation of monthly and ad hoc syndication reports Qualifications: * Minimum Junior year standing as of fall 2018 at an accredited 4 year university/college. * Pursuing a full-time undergraduate/graduate degree * Minimum of a cumulative GPA of 3.0 required to submit resume to Terex Career Database. * Track record of demonstrable accomplishments in school and at work.
