Job Description

We are seeking an undergraduate intern to support the Treasury Team for Summer 2019. This is an opportunity to experience the professional finance environment of a global corporation. The intern's work will directly contribute to the business goals of Kimberly-Clark. As an intern, you will be given clearly defined assignments that will help you put theory to practice and build on the knowledge you have learned in the classroom.

Qualifications

  • College junior or senior majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.2/4.0 or higher

  • Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from early June to late August

  • Presently authorized to work in the U.S. on a regular, full-time basis

Responsibilities TEAM OVERVIEW: Teams falling under the Treasury umbrella are Cash Management, Corporate Finance, Fleet Transactions, Corporate Insurance, Fleet Acquisition, Aviation Policy, Boeing Warranty, Fleet Asset Management and Fuel Hedging. The teams interact extensively. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The focus of this role will be to assist with a variety of projects that would touch on as many of the areas as practical to provide an introductory outlook into the workings of a Treasury department. Such duties could include, but not limited to: audit of wire transfers and investment confirmations, collateral valuation for fuel hedge facilities and insurance coverage, document review/organization which will provide an understanding of debt facilities and aircraft leases, and working on capital market projects as needed. Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. EDUCATION: Progress towards an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field. Minimum Sophomore level. Completion of 45 credit hours preferred. Completion of at least 1 finance course and 1 accounting course required. To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours). Maintained 3.0 or above GPA. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and databases. Skills/Abilities/Knowledge/Work Style: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be have an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (V-Lookup and Pivot Tables). Knowledge of CI/CD philosophies preferred. Experience using Tableau in a professional or academic environment preferred. Experience using Alteryx, Google Analytics, SQL or other similar methods of analyzing data preferred. Previous internship or work experience preferred. Great attention to detail. Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as part of a Team.
