The Internship Program at Greif targets undergraduate students, typically between their Junior and Senior year and is 8-12 weeks in length depending on the needs of the department and/or intern. To encourage networking, relationship building and organizational learning, we will host a number of internship events over the course of the program including, but not limited to educational roundtables, plant tours and philanthropic activities. Interns will also have the opportunity to interact with and present to Greif's Executive Leadership Team.

Treasury is responsible for management of the company's global cash and capital market operations. The Treasury Intern will assist with the global daily Treasury processes with the goal of creating more efficient daily operations. This will include participating in the implementation of parts of the company's Treasury Management System.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Position cash daily to optimize debt repayment.

  • Assist in building out functionality of the Treasury Management System.

  • Participate in building new processes to maximize the use of the Treasury Management System.

  • Participate in the foreign currency hedging process, which may include back office, trading, analyzing hedging results, and building new processes to manage the exposures more efficiently.

  • Perform related and/or additional job duties as required.

EDUCATION

  • This position is for any student pursuing bachelor's degree in a business related field with a junior or senior status or graduate students.

  • Requires a good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the procedures required, either through training or experience.

  • Understands how own area integrates within the organization sub-function.

Department Specific Responsible for managing supply chain inventory processes and achieving inventory targets at specific plants under centralized inventory management. Works with Supply Chain and sourcing teams to identify opportunities for improvement that impact inventories. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES * Collaborates with plants/suppliers with on time in full, shipping schedules and order placement. * Travel, as required, to support projects. * Plans specified strategic raw materials for the plants utilizing the system and tools provided. * Coordinates and communicates with local plant buyers on recommended purchase orders (PO's), inventory levels and supplier issues as required. * Sets, maintains and reviews inventory safety stock in ERP system for planning purposes to meet target goals. * Reviews potential raw materials shortfalls and takes actions to resolve. * Reviews material forecast and system requirements and places purchase orders accordingly with insight from the plants. * Helps develop optimal replenishment frequency and logistics network in coordination with logistics sourcing team. * Assists with coordinating Sales and Operations inputs for key strategic items for S&OP process. * Facilitates commercial input to forecasting process. * Helps facilitate monthly S&OP meetings for key strategic items at the local level. * Works with Materials Manager to identify system and process enhancements to continuously improve and automate inventory management. * Trouble shooting support for system issues and inventory and supplier issues. * Performs related and/or additional job duties as required.
