Intern Financial Operations

Working directly for the Finance Manager, and with various departments, including Global Treasury, Accounts Payable and Claims, this role will engage in account reconciliation preparation for clearing and control accounts impacted by cash disbursements.

Critical factors to success include: delivering results while maintaining a detailed focus, ability to take ownership, effective team player with ability to work independently, willingness and desire to learn and develop, critical and analytical thinking, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in fast paced environment.

This position is responsible for the preparation of account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis. The reconciliation process includes obtaining data and reconciling to the ledger. Variances found must be investigated and resolved by working with other business and operational units across the organization.


  • Complete account reconciliations monthly and quarterly

  • Enhance documentations of current operations and procedures

  • Participate in various ad hoc projects


  • Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Business, major in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio, Word and Excel a plus

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively participate in the following processes and projects: * Initiates Global & Domestic electronic disbursement payments * Monitor compliance with disbursement approval authorization policy * Review, reconcile & allocate daily bank activity for a large bank number of bank accounts * Process miscellaneous check deposits received in corporate office * Validate daily positive pay exception process * Validation of daily BAI file account postings and EDI files deliveries * Processes weekly foreign exchange transaction reporting * Respond to Treasury Customer Service requests * Work on ad-hoc reports & projects as needed TECHINCAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's Degree required * Between 1 to 2 years of Corporate Treasury or banking experience preferred * Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and proven problem solving skills * Proficiency in end user applications (e.g., Microsoft products such as Excel and Word) * Experience in SunGard Quantum system a plus * Experience with Bank Proprietary Systems strongly recommended Chubb Philadelphia PA
