The Treasury Analyst serves a critical role in the global treasury operations and cash management for the SunOpta Group in North America. The Treasury Analyst will also work very closely with the treasury team in Europe to manage the Company's global cash flow and financing activities. Primary responsibilities will include daily cash management and banking activities, cash flow forecasting, debt compliance and bank reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support liquidity management by performing daily cash flow balancing, including monitoring daily cash positions for U.S. and international operations, initiating wire transfers to fund business activities
Review positive pay exceptions, and compiling the necessary audit trail documentation
Liaise with A/R, A/P, payroll, and international accounting teams for various cross-functional processes
Coordinate foreign exchange transactions with banks and internal departments
Compile weekly Treasury dashboard, including a 13-week cash flow forecast, and distribute to the senior leadership team
Prepare monthly reporting requirements related to debt, including borrowing base calculation and other compliance reporting
Perform bank account administration that includes opening, maintaining, and closing of bank accounts
Process letters of credit and performance bonds as required
Ensure adherence to Treasury policies and controls, support SOX compliance and audit related efforts
Drive continuous process improvements; leverage systems and available technology to automate process for efficiency and scalability

Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or similar area required.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related area strongly preferred.
CPA, CTP or similar certification would be a plus.
3 years of related experience in treasury, accounting or finance is required.
Experience with asset-backed lending facilities and financial modelling in Excel is highly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Solid knowledge of cash management, banking and accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others
High attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize deadlines
High proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications
High proficiency in commercial online banking platforms
No travel required
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
