Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Assistant Treasurer and the Senior Treasury Analyst with the implementation of the TMS and provide support for testing new functionality and periodic release updates.

  • Supports static data requirements, set up and maintenance in TMS and eBAM systems.

  • Assists with security administration of the TMS, eBAM and Banking portals.

  • Assists the local officers with open, change and close accounts and signer mandate updates in the Bank Account Management System (eBAM).

  • Assists the local officers with treasury reporting and analytics and TMS/eBAM reports and dashboards.

  • Assists with the annual FBAR reporting requirements.

  • Provides support to Bank Account Administration as needed.

  • Performs cash and liquidity reporting as well as adhoc reports for senior management.

  • Monitors bank account activity for unusual balances and transactions.

  • Monitors scheduled incoming Bank files and resolves message issues and fails with Banks/FIS.

  • Assists in onboarding of new Banks and establishing connectivity with FIS Service Bureau/Banks.

  • Assists in providing treasury reports for interim and year-end audits and compliance reviews.

  • Provides support to end users for TMS and eBAM systems.

  • Assists in development and maintenance of treasury policies and procedures.

  • Supports month-end and quarter-end treasury related accounting close activities.

  • Collaborate with the finance teams to identify process improvements and determine best practices and support treasury projects.

  • Liaises with TMS vendor (FIS), Banks, and STARR finance teams to resolve day-to-day issues.

  • Other treasury responsibilities may be assigned as needed.


  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills including the capacity to perform detailed analysis while understanding broader context and implications.

  • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing at all organizational levels.

  • Able to work independently and within a cross-functional team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion.


  • 1 to 2 years' experience in a Treasury/Finance function.

  • Experience using a TMS a plus.

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.

Primary responsibilities * Funding * Managing cash concentration structures and ensuring all accounts are properly funded * Coordinating with Corporate, Business and Investments groups on cash transfers to/from accounts * Oversee the initiation and release of Treasury payments * Liaising with banks on revolver usage for liquidity needs * Managing operational cash to established liquidity target balances.- * Forecasting * Forecast reporting and variance analysis through coordination with the various business units, departments and banks to provide timely and accurate forecasts, actuals and variances. * Optimization of cash activities and yield on short term cash available for investment * Cash flow analysis and tagging * Payment Execution * The processing and settlement of Treasury initiated payments ensuring accuracy, timeless and efficiency of Payment processing * Monitoring payment processing on an exception management basis to ensure all treasury payments are successfully delivered acknowledged and executed. * Trade and Debt administration, including the processing, record, confirmation and settlement of short term investments, FX trades and intercompany loans * Maintenance of required audit documentation for Treasury initiated payments including support for inquiries/supply proof of payment for Treasury executed payments * Build relationships with internal partners proactively seeking information and transferring knowledge to ensure achievement of treasury requirements and alert key stakeholders of treasury issues to facilitate effective resolution * Delivering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with Treasury goals. * Facilitate risk management by participating in the implementation and monitoring of internal and external audits and tracking and reporting fraudulent activity to ensure organization aligns with regulatory standards and limits exposure * Support Treasury business strategies by building relationships with internal and external key stakeholders and utilizing financial acumen and knowledge of market competition and best practices to drive the adoption of innovative tools and effective product development for the achievement of profitability objectives * Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun * Adopt QBE values in personal work behaviors, decision-making, contributions and interpersonal interactions; manage own career development by soliciting feedback and valuing other perspectives Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Experience 2 years relevant experience Experience in a business treasury function; risk management or internal audit experience Licenses/Certifications Knowledge * Working knowledge of treasury department functions and best practices * Knowledge of bank products and services Skills * Proficient in Microsoft office; specifically Excel and PowerPoint * Prior experience with electronic bank payment systems and or treasury management systems (TMS) such as Kyriba, Wall Street Systems Suite or similar product.
