Treasury Analyst

Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for providing successful leadership and management implementing "best practice" treasury processes in support of the needs of a fast-growing business to increase efficiencies and enhance controls and diligently oversee day-to-day treasury operations to drive future improvements and lead cross-functional projects. By building and leveraging relationships within the company and with external organizations, the Treasury Analyst manages treasury operations by managing banks, managing transaction processing procedures, assuring security of cash funds, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Evaluates, recommends, and implements products for automating daily and monthly treasury processes.

• Assists with integration of new facilities regarding bank account setup, merchant card processing, purchasing cards, check scanners, and closing of legacy bank accounts for newly acquired entities.

• Completes the daily cash reports for facilities and corporate office.

• Backs up Treasury Department functions including monitoring, posting, and reporting cash receipts and disbursements for the corporation and subsidiaries.

• Supports administrative function of the company's T&E and Purchasing Card programs.

• Identifies cost-saving and profit maximizing opportunities.

• Assists with stop payments, check inquiries, transaction research, etc.

• Initiates payments by Fed wire or ACH.

• Enforces treasury policies and procedures.

• Other special projects related to treasury, acquisition integration, and other financial areas.

• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA and CTP preferred

• 1-2 years progressive financial experience required including treasury, accounting, and cash management exposure.

• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Advanced analytical abilities

• Solid business acumen with a high degree of ethics and integrity.

• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.

• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.

• Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.

• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.

• Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting deadlines.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Recommended to obtain Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Certification
