The Role
We are looking for a Traveling Electrical Foreman to join our team!
Responsibilities
Leading and managing the on-site construction team of up to 5 to 15 people.
Read and understand blueprints
Layout and coordination of task needed with the phases of the project.
General Contractor coordination strategies and communication with GC Superintendent and other trades
Coordination with utility company providers
Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
Implement and enforce safety standards and procedures
Ability to fluently operate various construction equipment if needed (preferred)
Representing OWL at schedule site production meetings to ensure timelines and QC standards are met.
Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
Monitoring cleanliness and organization of the project.
Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs.
Requirements and Skills
Applicant must have a valid driver's license and must be able to pass a drug test, criminal background and pass a MRV background and meet company qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license
Applicants must have a current electrical Journeyman's license.
Applicant must be able to travel to various locations throughout the United States and see projects through to their completion.
Safety must be a priority.
Traveling superintendent would be expected to travel 85%- 100% of the time.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum 6 - 8 years construction-related experience relevant to electrical contracting
Outstanding team-building and leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Good knowledge of electrical code book.
Experience with, and comprehensive knowledge of a facility lock-out / tag-out program. (Compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 control of hazardous energy)
