• 11:30pm; weekends as needed) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week Experience: 3 years of certified sterile processing experience in a large hospital setting; Travel SPT experience (6 months) License: Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician

• Experience in large hospitals (500 beds) - 2 professional references from recent experiences Job Description: - Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrument pans, procedural trays, technical equipment, and surgical case carts

• Select appropriate methods of packaging and sterilization, consult with Processing Manager as needed

• Examine surgical instrumentation for cleanliness, proper assembly, and function

• Assemble instrument sets ensuring appropriate number and type per ESI software program protocols

• Operate steam sterilizers in accordance with established procedures; monitor time, pressure, and temperature gauges frequently

• Perform simple maintenance of sterilizers and perform quality assurance to ensure sterility is achieved

• Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment, preventing cross-contamination per established procedures

• Receive and store supplies, check stock against requisitions, document discrepancies, and maintain inventory levels

• Document and fulfill orders for surgical supplies, deliver when needed

• Maintain records of equipment inventory use, frequency of servicing, and items referred for repair

• Perform daily quality assurance checks on stock levels, sterility dates, and procedure carts

• Ensure compliance with department, legal, and regulatory standards
