The Meadows Psychiatric Center invites applications for the position of a Travel Registered Nurse for a temporary 6-month period. Our facilities provide comprehensive mental and behavioral health treatment services to children, adolescents and adults. The successful candidate will provide nursing care at one of three behavioral healthcare facilities within an 80 - 160 mile radius of their home hospital, The Meadows Psyciatric Center (The Meadows). A minimum of 25% travel is required for this position.

Experience

  • Registered Nurse, 1 year psychiatric nurse experience preferred

Licensure/Certification

  • Licensure and registration by the PA Board of Nursing as a registered nurse

The Meadows team has been providing patients and their families with the hope of recovery for more than 30 years. the Meadows has a full time, night shift (7pm - 7:30am) Mental Health Technician position available. The Mental Health Technician (MHT) work under the direct supervision of a charge RN and report to an RN Unit Nurse Manager. The MHT functions as an active part of the patient treatment and is responsible for patient supervision, interaction and role modeling. MHT staff must assist with the implementation and follow the unit schedule; facilitate assigned individual and group tasks and activities; take and record vital signs; perform safety checks throughout the shift; supervises & assists patients with meals; document in the patient record per policy and procedures; participate in behavior modification and de-escalation activities as situations require. Pay is commesurate with degree status and experience. This position requires dependable and reliable attendance to work profile in all weather; as well as committment to work two shifts every other weekend and participate in holiday work rotation.
