Treva Corporation is currently seeking full-time MICU Registered Nurses for nights (7p-7a) for a well-known hospital in Birmingham, AL. This is a 13 week contract with a high possibility of extension. Must have at least 2 years of ICU experience. Must be willing to float. Great pay!

ICU/Critical Care Registered Nurse Must Have The Ability To:

  • Assess a patients condition and plan and implement patient care plans
  • Treat wounds and provide advanced life support
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures
  • Observe and record patient vital signs
  • Ensure that ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly
  • Administer intravenous fluids and medications
  • Order diagnostic tests
  • Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team
  • Respond to life-saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
  • Act as patient advocate
  • Provide education and support to patient families

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Alabama State Board of Nursing RN license required.
  • Current immunizations and/or screenings (MMR, DPT, Varicella, HEP B and TB) required
  • RN license must not be restricted
  • Minimum of 2 years working on a ICU floor
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications

This is a <strong>13 week contract</strong> with a high possibility of extension. Must have at least <strong>2 years </strong>of ICU experience. Great pay!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Position Description </p><p>SICU RN Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses assesses, diagnoses, plans, treats and evaluates patients who require intensive and intermediate care. RN SICU nurses must be proficient in a wide variety of high-level nursing skills and need to be experts in evaluating and administering care, while recognizing complications. Trauma Resuscitation nursing is recommended for the SICU RN who demonstrates highly advanced skills in patient assessment/intervention, teamwork, and crisis management.
