Premium Travel Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) Assignments $4,583 Weekly!

Location: Wisconsin

TotalMed is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) specializing in Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) . These assignments are 13-week travel assignments with both day and night shifts available.

Responsibilities:

Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Position Requirements:

Registered Nurse Licensure
1-2 Years of previous experience
Familiarity with medical software and equipment
Ability to build rapport with patients
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Position Summary : The Registered Nurse is responsible to assess and monitor medical concerns, review, provide nursing care to program participants, complete required documentation, provide in-services to staff, collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners, certify AMAP's, review and act on incident reports, provide on-call coverage and participate in Agency activities. Activities include but are not limited to the following: * Monitor and assess program participant's medical concerns. * Provide routine and emergency nursing care to program participants. * Complete all required documentation and reports according to program regulations including program participants' quarterly and annual medical reviews and charts. * Provide nursing and medical in-services to staff at ICF's, IRA"s, and Day Treatment. * Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners on medical issues. * Certify and re-certify all AMAP's on an as needed basis. * Review and act on incident reports. * Provide "on-call" telephone coverage as needed. Qualifications/Requirements: * AAS Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred * Current and valid NYS RN license. * Two-Step TB test required, Step 1 required prior to first day of employment * Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel). * This position has regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities), OCFS (Office for Children and Family Services) or OMH (Office of Mental Health). * Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted. * Travel is required. Must have a valid NYS Driver's License. * Adhere to mandatory reporting requirements and HIPAA laws. * Participate in activities as part of the treatment team that may include meetings, trainings, and committees. * Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards. * Establish a work environment that creates positive communication between supervisors and employees and assimilates new employees to the Agency's culture, values and mission.
