Travel Nurse RN - PCU In Dayton, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Neuroscience Unit Job Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: 1.5 years required; some level 1 or 2 preferred; travel experience preferred License: Any state RN license accepted; compact license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Vent experience

• Experience with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in Step-Down or PCU

• EPIC experience

• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before the assignment

• IV start skills preferred Job Description:

• Work in an intermediate care neuroscience unit providing skilled care to a diverse patient population, including cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), seizures, and neurological conditions.

• Participate in a high-risk respiratory unit, returning to a neuro-intermediate care focus as conditions permit.

• Function in team nursing or primary nursing, partnering with LPNs and PCTs to enhance patient care workload.

• Be flexible to float between facilities and support various units, including high-risk respiratory/COVID units.

• Available to work every other weekend and holidays, including Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

• Participate in floating to main, south, and north facilities as needed, maintaining consistency in patient care.

• Complete up to 24 hours of modules during orientation and annually, with self-reported hours.

• Wear Navy Blue Scrubs while on duty.
