Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Staff Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days, 4x12 Hr Shifts, 48 hours/week Guaranteed Hours: 48 Experience: 2 years required, 5 years preferred; Travel experience required License: RN License required Certifications: CPR, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG Must-Have:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

• English proficiency (Read, Write, Speak) Job Description:

• Assess/reassess young adult, adult, and elderly patients and apply the nursing process.

• Demonstrate basic competency in specialized procedures/equipment, such as cardiac monitoring and care pre/post interventional cardiac procedures.

• Care for patients with vascular closure devices, including application, maintenance, and removal.

• Maintain and pull arterial and/or venous sheaths.

• Operate ACT machines, angioseal/vasoseal devices, and perform minimal sedation using safety and prevention guidelines.

• Assist with various procedures, including transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), peripheral balloons, stents, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.

• Perform pain management and follow-up pain reassessment.

• Conduct blood draws and manage order-of-the-draw for labs.

• Provide IV therapy and infusion of blood and blood products.

• Manage information and perform synchronized cardioversion.

• Assist with electrophysiology procedures, RF ablations, cryoablations, and insertion of device implants like ICDs and pacemakers.

• Monitor for anaphylactic reactions and manage using appropriate kits.

• Maintain and troubleshoot MAC Lab System Monitoring. This role involves caring for and recovering patients pre/post various interventional cardiac, radiology, and vascular procedures, ensuring top-quality care in a dynamic and critical environment.
