• Perform all required procedures through proper positioning and technique, ensuring high-quality diagnostic studies.

• Screen patients before exams for contraindications or precautionary measures, such as pain, claustrophobia, or allergies.

• Obtain and review examination requisitions for information including doctor's orders, patient history, and special requirements.

• Explain procedures thoroughly to patients, addressing any questions to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.

• Monitor patient conditions within the department and assist radiologists in performing necessary medical attention.

• Adhere to company and hospital policies, procedures, and emergency plans.

• Maintain diagnostic equipment by cleaning, disinfecting, and handling with care; report any equipment issues to a supervisor.

• Prepare examinations for radiologist interpretation, ensuring correct identification and processing of films and compiling clinical history.

• Assist radiologists during the administration of contrast media, practicing aseptic techniques, and responding to allergic reactions appropriately.

• Practice and maintain standard precautions and infection control policy standards.

• Assist with patient scheduling and preparation prior to examination.

• Ensure that each patient receives the highest quality service possible.

• Conduct examinations considering the patient’s age, condition, or special needs.
