Overview

Position Summary:

The Travel and Expense Analyst / Auditor reviews selected expense reports for compliance to Gallagher's travel and expense policy using an automated tool. Primary responsibilities include auditing identified out-of-policy T&E expense submissions, recognizing and analyzing trends and recurring issues. This position interacts frequently and directly with all levels of our employee base, with our 3rd party audit firm and with other related service providers.

Please note: This position requires the candidate to be fully bilingual in Spanish. Oral and written.

Position Details:

  • Pay is $45-$50/K year depending on experience

  • Hours M-F 8am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)

  • Remote position located in Las Vegas only.

  • Bilingual Spanish

How you'll make an impact

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Auditing specific identified out of policy transactions on T&E reports for compliance to Gallagher policies

  • Reducing financial risk by researching potential fraud on expense reports

  • Understanding and following defined courses of action and deploying standard employee communications to resolve out of policy transactions based on audit results

  • Interacting with employees and managers to resolve issues of a confidential or sensitive nature

  • Aligning with corporate Payroll and Human Resources Departments on policy compliance issues

  • Working in Concur, Gallagher's web based expense solution

  • Working with AppZen, Gallagher's automated audit application

  • Working with Circulus, Gallagher's accounts payable platform

  • Working with Gallagher's corporate card provider, American Express

  • Creating reports, providing analysis, sharing results and supporting awareness of and solutions for all areas of responsibility

  • Determining an appropriate course of action for resolving issues based on results of the audit

  • Handling queries on Concur and AppZen systems via internal mailboxes

  • Participating in identifying, developing and documenting AppZen system procedures

  • Maintaining understanding of Egencia Travel Booking site, Concur Expense and American Express Corporate Card program

  • Driving efficiencies and business process improvements related to T&E expense program management by:

  • Assisting with recommendations on policy clarifications and updates

  • Assisting with recommendations for employee communication and training.

About You

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2 or more years related work experience

  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Desired:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business discipline

  • Related work experience in accounting, financial operations or audit

  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

  • Prior administrative experience with Concur or similar T&E application a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Office; proficiency in Excel. Knowledge to include management of large amounts of data and use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP and other EXCEL functions.
