Job Title: CT Technologist Job Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging Job Duration: Full-Time Shift: 8-hour evenings, flexible Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm

• 11:30 pm & every 5th or 6th weekend Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week Experience: Previous experience in CT preferred, but not required License:

• Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

• CT certification required Must-Have:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. with shared lifting

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in general computer skills and applications

• Ability to take call and work independently using critical thinking skills Job Description:

• Operate CT scanners and perform CT procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures

• Work within the "Standards of Ethics" of the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the "Clinical Practice Standards" established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT)

• Collaborate with physicians to perform a variety of specialized CT procedures

• Set up and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures

• Position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, ensuring respect for their ability and comfort

• Obtain appropriate patient information for the procedures being completed

• Provide radiation protection to the patient, technologist, and anyone else in the area, utilizing PPE and other guidelines as needed

• Recognize emergent situations and activate assistance as required
