Compensation : $67 - $67 Hourly Client Job Ref ID : JX22003401610 Start Date : 09/18/2023 End Date : 12/23/2023 Applies scientific principles for the identification, prevention, and remediation of pulmonary and cardiopulmonary dysfunction. Provides and coordinates the delivery of medical gases.

Administers aerosolized medications. Works with a multidisciplinary team to maintain natural and artificial airways. Participates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation as part of a multidisciplinary code team.

Performs pulmonary function testing (spirometry, lung volumes, diffusing capacity, MIPS/MEPS, pre/post bronchodilator testing) Performs exercise oximetry testing. Provides education of respiratory care procedures and respiratory related issues to patients and families. Provides consultation services and teaching of respiratory related issues to other providers as needed.

Performs routine maintenance, daily calibration, and quality control procedures on complex pulmonary function testing equipment. Completes documentation of all necessary information related to patient care, treatments administered, and responses to treatment in the electronic medical record. Maintains appropriate department records (competencies, certifications etc.). Performs all other duties as assigned by the Director of the Respiratory Care Department.

QUALIFICATIONS BLS, PALS, NRP and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current Respiratory Therapist experience. Graduate from a fully accredited Respiratory Therapist program Active unencumbered Respiratory Therapist Massachusetts state license One year of Epic experience Current license by the state Board of Respiratory Care RRT - Registration by the N.B.R.C. Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs.

Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
