OR-Cardiac Scrub tech or RN10 room multi-specialty OR with new state of the art Hybrid room

At least 2-3 years of Cardiac Scrub experience required, including CABG and Valves. TAVR experience preferred.40 hours per week M-F with hours between 7a and 5:30p with on-call rotation for cardiac.Ability to scrub or circulate other cases in mulit-specialty OR as needed.3 month assignment.

The Staff Nurse willbe responsible for: * Providing care for patients * Working collaboratively to provide excellentcare to patients and families in the safest environment. General Overview Job Title: Clinical Support RN for Cardiovascular Access Program Department/ Unit/Section: Medicine/Cardiology Reports to: Cardiovascular Access Manager The primary responsibilities of the Clinical Support RN forthe Cardiovascular Access program will be to assist with the transfer ofpatients from outside facilities to the cardiovascular service line. Assistwith the flow of the in-patients within the cardiovascular division, includingcardiac catheterization lab, EP lab, CVRR, cardiac surgery ICU to step-down,and CCU. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assists referring physicians and BWH physicianswith the transfer of patients from outside facilities as well as triaging theurgency and coordinating the appropriate placement of patient within the Shapiro Cardiovascular Center. 2. Elicits patient information and notifies team andinpatient service of admission. 3. Provides proper documentation of anticipatedtransfers to alert appropriate staff of patient's medical information. 4. Reviews schedules for vascular surgery, cardiacsurgery, electrophysiology, cardiac catheterization laboratory to identify andevaluate overall service line bed demands and capacity constraints. 5. Works closely with admitting to assist withappropriate clinical placement of both inpatients and transfers. 6. Collaborates closely with Nursing directors, NIC's, Admitting, and off Nursing supervisors to cap and flex beds when censusdictates. 7. Keeps Cardiac Anesthesia informed of potentialdelays in bed availability with cardiac surgery post-op patients. 8. Attends vascular and cardiac surgery beds rounds toassist with the appropriate flow of patients throughout the cardiovascularservice. 9. Provideinsight and feedback to the Access Manager regarding quality improvements andperformance within the Cardiovascular Service line. Assist with on goingquality improvement projects as well as maintaining statistical data. To qualify you must have: * Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required. * Experience: Five years RN experience. Two years current cardiology experience with a preference of cardiac procedural knowledge. * Other: Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged. * Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract. Skills/Abilities/Competencies required: * Excellent written and oral communication skills to work with individuals from various fields of expertise, including physicians, nurse, and support staff within the institution as well as outside providers. * Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well with multidisciplinary teams.
