We are searching for a new Trauma Performance Improvement Specialist for a PRN, work from home opportunity.
The Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse, working in conjunction with the Division Trauma Manager and Vice President, is responsible for the coordination of services required for a multi-disciplinary team approach to care for trauma patients.
Functions as an expert educator, consultant, liaison, leader, and evaluator.
Strives to improve and maintain quality of patient care and clinical knowledge and performance of members of the trauma team.
Works closely with medical staff, administration and nursing units to fulfill these responsibilities.
Ensures that all guidelines and protocols are consistent with the care being provided.
Identifies opportunities for improvement and assists with the performance improvement program.
Responsible for meeting State of Florida Trauma Center Standards, America College of Surgeons Criteria, and Joint Commission standards, complying with all mandatory reporting required by the trauma program, complying with corporate and hospital policy and procedures, managing patient information, promoting teamwork and positive customer service.
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Level entry training may be an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current RN Licensure
3 years RN experience in trauma, emergency services or critical care.
Special or additional competencies or qualifications:
Good computer skills, excellent communications skills, ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload. Good organizational skills and excellence in public speaking.
