The Trauma Outreach Coordinator is a registered nurse who functions under the direction of the Trauma Program Manager to develop and maintain the trauma injury prevention program as set forth by the guidelines established by the American College of Surgeons Trauma Center Verification Program and State designated trauma program. Additionally, this position utilizes the Trauma Registry in the development of outreach and education programs for the community and professionally within the WellStar Health Systems Supports the collection of data for the Trauma Registry.


Required Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Current ACLS, TNCC and ATCN certification preferred or within one year of employment.

Required Minimum Experience: Minimum of three years of clinical nursing in emergency, critical care and/or trauma care. Previous experience in verified Level I or Level II ACS verified Trauma Center or state designated trauma program preferred.

Required Minimum Skills:
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced computer skills.

Ability to work in a team and take direction and delegation of tasks. Strong communication skills including verbal, written and presentation style. Organizational skills to necessary to develop educational opportunities for the community and trauma care providers as well.

And much more! Summary: In a team environment, under limited supervision, maintains CDPH WIC data to facilitate case load and service delivery. May provide administrative duties such as greeting clients, scheduling appointments, performing patient intake tasks, answering phone calls, providing general information, etc. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, provides administrative WIC services within the standards set by GA WIC policies and procedures to assure prompt services are provided to all WIC clients.
