  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).

  • Current ACLS certification.

  • Current BLS Certification.

  • PALS within 1 year of hire.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Additional languages preferred.

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Proficient in interpreting EKG.

  • Two (2) years of Emergency Trauma Nursing experience preferred

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of their patients; demonstrate knowledge of growth and development; assess data reflective of the patient's status: and identify each patient's requirements relative to age specific needs. Performs specific job criteria/performance standards according to prevailing applicable unit, division, hospital and professional standards. Experience: At least one year experience in a health care setting performing information-based patient care and/or patient care supportive tasks such as vital signs, phlebotomy, as well as clinical skills preferred. Education: High school / GED required. Coursework in anatomy, physiology, medical technology and/or transcription preferred. Licensure Certification: Possession of current related license required. Completion of specialty training such as Medical Assistant, Paramedic/EMT or medical corpsmen approved certification program required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required. Knowledge Skill Abilities: Basic math skills required.
