Providence is calling a Per Diem, Variable Shift Transporter / Lift Dispatch Coordinator to the Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates the capacity to assist staff in thesafe lifting, transferring and/or transporting of patients as specified by the direct Supervisor/Lead.
Be responsible transporting and lifting patients, assistingin the care of patients requiring moderate to total assistance in moving, checking and performing corrective action ondesignated equipment, transporting other items such as specimen transport,blood pick-up, and Central Service pick-up and identifies and reportschanges of abnormal findings in patient status such as consciousness, pain,bleeding and vital signs that occur during the lift or transporting
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current BLS card or Heart Saver.
Must be able to speak the English language proficiently.
Competent in use of Computer Systems (Transport-Tracking System).
Working knowledge of beds, gurneys, wheelchairs, cardiac chairs, oxygen tanks, transfer boards, gait belts, and lift equipment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Capable of dealing effectively with multipledemands and events.
Able to prioritize, organize and coordinate patient care as specified by the primary care provider.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
CNA/RNA/PSA with minimum 6 months patient careexperience in an acute hospital setting preferred
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
