Our Northwest HealthCare campus, located six miles west of Christian Hospital in Florissant, offers the community 24-hour emergency care as well as a variety of outpatient services and physician practices.

The Patient Support Services takes exceptional care of the patients by managing and the coordinating lifts for non-ambulatory patients, transports patients to the various departments for treatment, and delivers x-rays, medical records, specimens, and other kinds of special deliveries throughout the medical complex.

Role Purpose

Transports patients and/or items such as lab specimens and x-ray films to and from patient rooms and ancillary areas. Provides an acceptable flow of customer and miscellaneous items to and from different treatment areas, physician's offices, and other areas throughout the medical complex.

Responsibilities

Transports and lifts non-ambulatory patients, x-rays, medical records, specimens, and other special deliveries throughout hospital campus.Keeps equipment clean and functional.Completes assigned tasks within department expectations.

Responsibilities and Qualifications Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
