JOB SUMMARY: Supervises day-to-day transportation functions to ensure driver performance, customer satisfaction, and that Department and Company objectives for efficiency, reliability, and productivity are met or exceeded.

Hours will be Sunday through Wednesday, from 8PM -8AM.



Plans, implements, and monitors day-to-day transportation operations, including analysis of on-time reports, delivery reliability, off-load rate, and manpower needs. (25%) Reviews and schedules daily routing of equipment and manpower to meet customer needs in terms of contractual guidelines, special deliveries, supplemental deliveries, opening orders, etc. (20%) Resolves equipment failures or break-downs, providing advice and assistance to drivers, as well as submitting appropriate reports to leasing/maintenance provider for service and repair. (15%) Motivates employees, including performance evaluation, counseling, and problem resolution, to achieve a positive work environment. (20%) Supervises employees, including interpretation of rules in a union work environment, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action as required. (10%) Updates routing programs (XATA, CADEC) on a daily basis, including review of drivers' on-board computer reports to ensure that goals for efficiency and timeliness are met. (10%) Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.


Supervises up to 100 or more employees, including hourly staff. Oversees operations with significant impact on GSF customer relations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:


Bachelor's degree in management, business, or psychology from an accredited college or university.


3 to 6 years of work experience in transportation or food distribution, including supervisory responsibilities and union work environments.

We are adding people who supervise front -line associates/lead in the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse department, including administrative and clerical functions, to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment. Schedules and monitors associate activities and equipment use to meet and exceed company objectives.</p><p>Shift: Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 am to 3:00 pm</p><p>This position is Bonus Eligible.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p><p>Plans, implements, and monitors the day-to-day operations for the warehouse department to ensure that established objectives for shipping, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness are met or exceeded. (25%) Monitors loading, dispatch, and receiving times and makes appropriate changes, ensuring compliance with QIP, HACCP, and DOT regulations. (25%) Routinely informs and communicates with associates to ensure compliance with established warehouse productivity, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures. (25%) Monitors and completes numerous computer-based and manual reports and related paperwork, including time records, daily logs, damage reports, etc. (10%) Monitors product damage and audits routes to ensure reliable product delivery. (5%) Plans and schedules manpower. (5%) Plans and coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance and utilization reports. (5%) Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.</p><p>LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY</p><p>Supervises of up to 100 hourly associates, depending on size of facility.
