Transportation Supervisor

The Big Walnut Local School District seeks an outstanding, energetic leader to serve as Transportation Supervisor beginning in the 2025/2026 school year. This is a 260-day position with administrative benefits. Applicants are encouraged to submit all materials by March 1, 2025. The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $65,000 - $90,000.

Goal:

Direct daily responsibility for managing all bus routes, scheduling, maintenance of all district vehicles, provide contract services to vehicles, direct daily supervision of all classified staff assigned to the transportation center as well as managing the transportation center site (building and grounds).

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree preferred, High School Diploma required
• Working knowledge of bus routing systems/software
• Successful experience (2-5 years preferred) in a related supervisory position
• Working knowledge of school bus traffic laws, safety, mechanics and routing including Ohio Transportation Rules and Regulations
• Working knowledge of fleet repair/maintenance
• Valid Ohio CDL Class B license without violations with bus driver endorsement preferred
• Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing to include organization and problem solving skills
• Good human relations skills with the ability to work well with administrators, bus drivers, mechanics, and parents
• Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board of Education
