Noblis is currently seeking a Software Developer to support the Surface Transportation Team.

This is an opportunity for someone with a background and experience in software develop to support the USDOT Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) programs. Noblis provides technical and programmatic support to the USDOT ITS Joint Program Office (JPO) planning and conducting research activities, coordinating technology deployment programs, and seeking disruptive innovation to transform the increasingly connected and automated world of surface transportation systems.
This individual will work on some or all of the following key projects: Connected Vehicles (CV) misbehavior detection, the USDOT Public Data task, and the Noblis Sponsored research (NSR) project Metropolis of Things (MoT).
As a member of this dynamic team you will participate in the following activities: Working with a team to develop and modify existing applications including cloud development, Big Data work, IOTs projects and game engine development Conducting analysis of user needs, requirements and design details Researching new software tools and technologies to solve complex problems. Working in SCRUM and Kanban Agile teams Assisting USDOT program managers with technical activities
Candidate demonstrates the following: Strong understanding of software development including unit testing, continuous integration, agile and security. Works independently to determine approach to and technical objectives of work assignments Ensures client objectives for quality, schedule, and budget are met or exceeded through direct and creative approaches Interacts with client representatives on technical and project matters Identifies and develops solutions to program problems
An understanding of, and familiarity with, the following is a plus: Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Experience with Unity 3D engine Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
