The Schneider organization has an immediate need for Transportation Representative to provide frontline support to our drivers. As a Transportation Representative you will select and assign freight to maximize profitability. Accountabilities include continually seeking ways to improve the day to day processes, increasing efficiencies, reducing waste and valuing the orange assets. With a safety emphasis, you will ensure customer requirements are met while building a strong working relationship with your team. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Select and assign freight with sufficient resources to meet and exceed the customer's requirements while effectively balancing capacity fleet needs
Ensure accurate and timely status information is updated in appropriate tracking systems
Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with drivers, internal associates and the customer you support
Identifies and works with the Account Manager to resolve potential customer service, cargo claim, maintenance and equipment issues

Our preferred candidate will have:
Minimum of a college degree or two years industry experience
Transportation, supply chain or logistics experience is a plus
Advanced technical/computer skills with the ability to use at least 3 to 4 different programs simultaneously
Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude
Creative problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize workload and thrive in a fast paced team environment or independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Basic financial management skills
