Transportation Position

Job Description:

NOTE: This position is for the 2024-2025 school year. The salary will be based on the 2024-2025 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year's salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.High school diploma or equivalent

2.A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.

3.Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suites

3.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with transportation and student information software

• Experience with time keeping software.

• Experience with payroll processes

REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation

JOB GOAL:

To support safe and efficient student transportation to and from school, and for extra and co-curricular activities

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Geocode all students and verify school assignment

• Complete all student routing utilizing automated system

• Verify route accuracy and modify routes as needed to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and best practice for safety

• Complete routing for students attending educational sites out of district

• Assist in maintaining payroll records for staff and submitting reports to Payroll for processing

• Ensure adequate staff assignments for all routes

• Dispatch information to transportation staff

• Prepare monthly and annual reports as requested

• Respond to inquiries from parents, staff, and patrons

• Assist with processing bus conduct reports

• Work as substitute bus para or driver as needed to fulfill the needs of the District

• Complete special projects as assigned by the Director

• Other related duties as assigned by the Director

MIN & MAX STARTING SALARY: $19.95 - $23.30 Per Hour

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

12 month position, 40 hours per week.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
