This position requires a detail-oriented Project Manager who will oversee public sector client projects on a variety of planning topics, including multimodal transportation network planning, feasibility analysis, corridor analysis, and project development. Candidate must be well-organized and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have 8 or more years' experience in the field, with experience in a private sector multi-disciplinary firm.
Working closely with other planners and engineers, this professional will coordinate with other disciplines in leading, managing and completing projects, maintaining client relationships, and leading project pursuits.
Work in a collaborative environment as part of a multi-discipline team.
Demonstrate knowledge and perform work on transportation planning studies including multimodal network planning, smart mobility, alternatives and feasibility analyses, policy development, transportation funding and implementation, and general traffic operations.
Presentations to clients, public meetings and stakeholder collaboration in support of projects.
Project management for scoping, scheduling and managing projects, leading and/or directing support staff, conformance with QA/QC protocols, and project delivery.
Focus on clients while developing new business.
Manage personal timeliness and technical correctness of a project to ensure high-quality work that fits within a client's budget and expectations.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering, or related is required.
PE, AICP and/or PTP certification preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of transportation planning, feasibility analysis, or master planning experience.
Minimum of 4 years of Project Management experience.
Strong writing ability and verbal communication skills required.
Thematic mapping and spatial analysis with GIS.
Understanding of traffic engineering and operational studies.
Familiarity with Metropolitan Transportation Planning, active transportation planning and context-sensitive design is beneficial.
Excellent time management and prioritization capabilities.
