Job Description:
This is maintenance, repair, and reconstruction work of a managerial nature for the Maine State Ferry Service (MSFS). Work involves managing and overseeing the maintenance, operations, and construction activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs duties of Company Security Officer while overseeing facilities for MSFS
Performs trainings and audits for land side crews to ensure MDOT policies and USCG regulations are met.
Assists others to ensure vessel crews are properly trained in accordance with MDOT and USCG policies.
Compiles annual audit reports for facilities and vessels
Ensures coverage of land side crews to operate 7 days per week.
Assists in crewing MSFS vessels in accordance with USCG COI's
Oversees inventory personnel to ensure proper margins of materials are in stock
Manages terminal agents throughout MSFS.
The applicant selected for hire must obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) Card that is provided by TSA -Transportation Security Administration within 30 days of hire.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
A four (4) year combination of training, experience, and/or education in maintenance and/or construction. 1 year minimum supervisory experience is required.
