The Transportation Operations Analyst is responsible for driving carrier and service provider performance through collaboration and coordination of people, carriers, and facilities. Their ability to understand and communicate customer needs to multiple stakeholders is crucial to the success of the overall organization. In this role, having a dynamic personality, strong analytical and organizational skills, and positive attitude creates meaningful relationships with cross functional teams allowing for greater efficiencies, and process improvements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive carrier and service provider performance for the US Spoke locations

Collect and interpret data, identify faults related to transportation operations and prepare recommendations to save the company time and money

Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries

Develop metrics for transportation analysis

Ensure all operations adhere to shipping laws, guidelines and regulations

Prepare and report out weekly reporting on operational metrics

Coordinate and collaborate with multiple warehouses, carriers and service providers across locations and regions on transportation needs

Manage and influence corrective actions for ongoing delivery issues/opportunities

Proactively approach and resolve bottlenecks in the shipping and receiving processes

Update and document standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

Must be fluent in English

2-3 Years of Transportation & Logistics related experience

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles

Occasional overnight travel; less than 10% of the time may be required

The Transportation Operations Analyst works within a team and is responsible for facilitating the safe and timely delivery of international freight as it moves through the supply chain network. Applies technical transportation logistics experience and superior communication skills to resolve key business problems and exceed customer expectations. Works closely with cross-functional departments, product managers and vendors to identify new or improved solutions to processes and systems on a global scale. We are looking for someone who is analytical with strong attention to detail, works collaboratively within a team, has excellent written and oral communication skills with an unyielding focus on the customer experience. Must have experience in transportation logistics, be self-motivated, highly adaptable, have an inherent sense of urgency, and thrive in a fast-paced agile environment. Duties may include: incident and exception management; shipment research, identification, and escalation; incident root cause analysis; customer service; carrier coordination and performance reporting; metrics collection and information management; report preparation and upstream information dissemination. * Coordinate with warehouses, carriers, and service providers to actively monitor shipments * Proactively manage delayed shipments and work with international carriers to devise recovery strategies to meet service level agreements (SLA) * Collaborate with team members to create and provide presentations on carrier/vendor performance * Ensure regional/global operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met * Action and advise all carrier and customer directed inquiries * Coordinate and execute hand-offs to appropriate parties for claims, root cause analysis, and investigations * Cross-functional communication and teamwork * Enhance relationships with business units, vendors, other carriers, etc. * Other duties as may be required * BA/BS Required.
