POSITION: Transportation Engineering Intern

HOURLY RATE: $21.00 per hour

POSITION LOCATION: Chicago, or Crystal Lake, IL

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Transportation Intern in our Crystal Lake or Chicago offices. This on-the-job experience will support the firms transportation department with the planning and design of a variety of transportation facilities and offer the opportunity to work within a transportation design team.

POSITION DUTIES:

• Plan Review

• CAD

• Quantity Computation

• Plan Preparation

• Traffic Analysis

• Data Collection

• Survey

• Construction Inspection

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.

• Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.

• Available to start May 2024.

• Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodmans service area (own transportation).

• Work in a team environment.

• Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
